Sennheiser and Neumann introduce special edition wireless bundle
The companies have launched the special edition ew 500G4-KK205 vocal set in celebration of Neumann’s 90th anniversary in Berlin, Germany
Sennheiser and Neumann have revealed a new special edition wireless bundle – the ew 500G4-KK205 – to mark Neumann’s 90th anniversary.
The ew 500G4-KK205 will be available from October 1, to December 31, 2018. It combines Sennheiser’s evolution wireless 500 G4 microphone system with the Neumann KK 205 true condenser capsule.
The system is available in all standard UHF frequency ranges and includes a handheld transmitter, capsule, rack-mount receiver, rack-mount kit, microphone clip and power supply.
The collection is based on Neumann’s wired KMS stage microphones. The super-cardioid capsule is designed to deliver an immediate vocal sound with ‘airy’ trebles. It has the capability to increase sound pressure levels up to 150 dB without clipping, and ensures high gain before feedback.
The microphone system can deliver up to 50 mW of transmission power and a switching bandwidth of 88 MHz, which provides engineers with room to manoeuvre in the RF spectrum.
