PLASA 2018 visitor numbers up 4%; 2019 dates announced
Audio exhibitors up 17% year-on-year following 23% increase in 2017
The PLASA resurgence continues to gather pace, with overall visitor numbers up four per cent year-on-year and audio exhibitors up 17 per cent on the show’s 2017 outing.
This year’s audio exhibitor numbers are particularly significant given that last year’s show also notched up a whopping 23 per cent rise on 2016.
Held at London Olympia from September 16-18, PLASA 2018 saw the return of L-Acoustics to the exhibition floor after a period away from the show, alongside the likes of d&b audiotechnik, Digico, SSE, Yamaha, Nexo, Allen & Heath and many others showcasing their latest innovations and solutions.
SSE sales director Alex Penn commented: “We’re enjoying a good amount of footfall meeting with lots of engineers and freelancers who are visiting off the back of a busy working weekend.”
Away from the exhibition floor, visitors were invited to attend a number of educational seminars and panel sessions, covering a wide range of subjects, with over 2,200 people attending the extensive programme across the three days.
Next year’s show will take place at London Olympia from September 15-17 2019.
