NAMM 2018: Roland keys
Roland has announced the launch of the GP609 Digital Piano, saying it features ‘…Roland’s advanced piano technologies for premium tone and touch, plus a multi-channel speaker system that provides top-quality sound for piano playing and casual music listening.’
Equipped with onboard Bluetooth support, users can connect with mobile devices to stream music and work with various music apps. Available in polished ebony or polished white, the GP609 features Roland’s SuperNATURAL Piano Modeling technology while complementing the sound engine is the innovative PHA-50 hybrid keyboard, which combines wood and moulded materials for traditional playability and lasting durability.
The GP609 also includes numerous onboard features for education and enjoyment, including split/layer capability, Twin Piano mode, a metronome, and a recorder. Working with Roland’s Piano Partner 2 and Piano Designer apps via Bluetooth unlocks even more possibilities, allowing users to access extended piano functions, play with rhythm accompaniments, customise piano sounds, and more.
