Musikmesse and Prolight + Sound – Prepared!
Whilst no one should under estimate the situation of Covid-19, and follow professional advice with regards to what can be done to avoid unnecessary spread of this disease, despite national media and trade press, in certain cases, looking to drive fear, or the next headline, countries, organisations and businesses will, or have already, adopted plans and protocols to reduce unnecessary risk and exposure.
Following the recent announcement that Adam Hall, long term exhibitor and partner of Prolight + Sound had announced that they wouldn’t be exhibiting this year, MIN caught up with Dr Hendri Müller-Giegler, Communications for Musikmesse, who stated,
“Yes Adam Hall already committed to Prolight + Sound”. “We count few cancellations while other exhibitors assure us of their participation”. “There are no plans to postpone Prolight + Sound”. “We shall continue to be in regular, close touch with the specialists in the relevant authorities and will follow their advice and implement all recommendations in full”. “As organisers, our top priority is the health of our exhibitors, visitors and staff!”
MIN, a regular visitor to Musikmesse and Prolight + Sound, who will be attending this year, were naturally curious to learn what practices were being adopted ahead and during this years event.
“Quite apart from the current situation, the safety and security regulations at the Exhibition Centre are of an extremely high standard, and we have extended them even further in the last few weeks,” states Dr Müller-Giegler, continuing, “so, for instance, we have increased the cleaning schedules for heavily frequented areas such as entrances, door handles, escalator handrails, etc. still further”. “Moreover, additional disinfectant dispensers have been distributed across the Exhibition Centre”. “In spite of all the challenges, we are looking forward to sharing a successful and inspiring show with you, and to celebrating a 25th anniversary for Prolight + Sound in suitable style”.
