Musikmesse and Prolight + Sound 2019 to be held simultaneously for the first time
The pro audio and MI shows will run concurrently from April 2-5 2019 in Frankfurt, Germany
Next year’s Prolight+Sound and Musikmesse exhibitions will run simultaneously for the first time, taking place in Messe Frankfurt from April 2-5.
All audio products will be on display in Hall 8.0 for the first time in the event’s history, including PA systems, permanent installations, studio and recording equipment. In addition, Hall 12, which opened this month, will feature lighting, stage equipment, entertainment technology and event safety and security systems.
The Live Sound Arena is now in outdoor area F10 in the immediate vicinity of Audio Hall 8.0, and a Demo Room for indoor audio systems is also in the pipeline.
Following their 2018 debut, A3E’s ‘The Future of Music and Audio Technology’ seminars will be expanded and cover subjects such as artificial intelligence, app integration and wearable technology for musicians. The ‘Immersive Technology Forum’ will also be continued.
Media technology and events companies will be on location to give an insight into the best practices relating to 3D and spatial audio, virtual and augmented reality, 360° projection and holography. Group show director of the ‘entertainment, media and creative industries’ business unit of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition, Michael Biwer, said: “Musikmesse and Prolight + Sound are combining their strengths. With all days now concurrent, we are complying with a request often expressed in the sector, the concept for 2019 emphasises the strengths of the two trade fairs: professionalism, internationality and the synergistic effects between the industries represented.”
