
Mandy Parnell and Darcy Proper to feature in UK’s first dedicated mastering conference
The AES UK Mastering Conference will take place from September 22-23 at the University of Westminster.
Revered mastering engineers Mandy Parnell and Darcy Proper are among a number of studio pioneers set to take part in the AES UK Mastering Conference – the UK’s first dedicated mastering conference – which takes place at the University of Westminster from September 22-23.
Hosted at the University’s Regent St campus in Central London, the two-day conference will bring together practitioners, manufacturers, producers, academics and enthusiasts to discuss and share concepts, ideas and practices in mastering with each other. Keynote speakers include Proper, Mike Cave (mastering engineer at Loft Mastering), Crispin Herrod Taylor (Crookwood), David Bell (Whitemark) and Guenter Loibl (Rebeat).
There will also be a Q&A with Parnell, hosted by mastering engineer Katie Tavini, along with presentations and panels with the likes of Bob Stuart (MQA), Roger Roschnik (PSI Audio (AVAA)), Jody Thorne (Prism Sound), Friedemann Tischmeyer, Mike Exarchos (aka Stereo Mike), Rob Toulson, Justin Paterson & Russ Hepworth-Sawyer, Magdalena Piotrowska, Andrew Bourbon, Alexander Hinksman and Stephen Bruel.
