Jay Lewington joins Music Shipping Co
Jay Lewington, the percussion specialist formerly with Westside Distribution, has joined forces with the Music Shipping Co to handle key accounts for its long established product lines including Shaw Percussion, UFiP, Cympad and a wide range of accessories. Simultaneously, Lewington will be developing his own percussion lines for his own newly formed company, LARK Distribution.
MSC says the arrangement will create a cost-effective sales operation and will result in improved dealer margins.
MSC’s Craig Fenney explains: ‘The main topic of conversation at Winter NAMM was dealer margin. We have always focussed on this but recently it has been difficult for dealers to maintain margin. This working partnership really helps both companies and of course helps retailers.’
Jay Lewington added: ‘Craig Fenney is one of the industry’s good guys, I’ve known him for pretty much as long as I’ve been in this industry and it’s a real honour to be finally working with him on this new strategy.
