Frederick Hyde Agrees Exclusive Distribution for Suzuki Music in UK & Northern Ireland
Frederick Hyde Music Distribution is excited to announce a new exclusive distribution agreement with Suzuki Musical Instrument Corporation, the highly respected manufacturer of harmonicas and melodicas, music pads and the Omnichord.
Effective immediately, Frederick Hyde will oversee UK and Northern Ireland distribution for Suzuki’s full product range, including all spares and accessories.
Suzuki’s outgoing European Sales Director, Howard Johnson, had this to say:
“Having worked for more years than I care to mention in the music industry, it is now my time to retire from Suzuki Europe Limited and pursue other adventures! I am delighted to pass the baton on to John at Frederick Hyde; they are certainly a worthy company to take up the mantle of distributing Suzuki’s wonderful instruments. I’m happy to know that Darren Brown, our Technical Manager, will be joining them, which will certainly be a benefit during the transition and beyond.”
Shun Aoji from Suzuki Japan echoed this sentiment:
“We are delighted to have Frederick Hyde as the new distributor for Suzuki musical instruments. Their strong ties with the education market will give us joint opportunities to expand business through their wider sales channels. We look forward to a successful and prosperous relationship with them.”
Established in 1953 by Mr Manji Suzuki, Suzuki Musical Instrument Corporation began with the production of harmonicas in Sumiyoshi, Japan. The company quickly expanded following the Japanese Ministry of Education’s integration of music into school curricula, driving demand for educational instruments. Now headquartered in Hamamatsu, Suzuki is recognised globally for its durable, high-quality instruments, widely used in both professional and educational settings.
Suzuki will join a number of foremost UK music education brands in the Frederick Hyde group, including Izzo, Jumbie Jam, Majestic, Manhasset, Mapex Marching, Nuvo, Octopus Ukulele, Percussion Plus and Tom and Will.
John Hughes-Chamberlain, Managing Director of Frederick Hyde, commented:
“We’re thrilled to be the new home for Suzuki’s beautifully made range of instruments. It’s wonderful to work directly with a company of such prestige, and their products will fit perfectly into our collection.”
All Suzuki’s products can be found at www.frederickhyde.com/collections/suzuki, and Tom and Scarlett will be happy to answer any queries at 01428 653381 or sales@frederickhyde.com.
