Date set for Radio TechCon 2018

The annual event will be held on November 26 at IET London: Savoy Place.

Radio TechCon, the UK radio and audio industry’s technical and

engineering conference, will be held on Monday, November 26 at IET London: Savoy Place.

The annual Radio TechCon is aimed at broadcast engineers, technologists and anybody with an interest in radio, audio, technology and engineering – including programme-makers and managers.

With a core focus on the detail around technical challenges and opportunities facing the radio and audio industry, the event aims to provide a platform to share, discuss and celebrate technical achievements, whilst remaining as accessible as possible.

The one-day conference will feature a mixture of speakers from across audio and technical disciplines, as well as mini ‘how-to’

masterclasses and case studies from real-life projects. The event will also see the return of the popular mini-trade fair.

Aradhna Tayal, from event organisers TBC Media, commented: “Radio TechCon remains an essential event for the technical community to come together, connecting with engineers, managers and editorial colleagues. The day is about sharing, innovating and collaborating, with an in-depth focus on technology and engineering across the industry. We are delighted to continue working with the IET and look forward to returning to Savoy Place this November.”

Joanne Longton, senior community manager at the IET, added: “The IET Multimedia Communications (MMC) Network were enormously pleased to be involved in Radio TechCon 2017. It was a great success, the presentations were of a high standard, and it was a wonderful networking opportunity. We look forward to further collaboration at the 2018 event.”

Tickets for Radio TechCon will be released shortly. There will be a discount for members of the IET as well as other industry organisations including The Radio Academy. To sign up for ticket alerts and updates, go to www.radiotechcon.com.
