Xvive introduces 5.8 GHz Guitar Wireless System With New Features

Xvive has launched a follow-up to their flagship guitar wireless system, U2. Unlike the U2, the new A58 Guitar Wireless Systemoperates on the 5.8 GHz band, which is less crowded than 2.4 GHz and therefore less likely to encounter interference from other wireless devices in the area. Like its predecessor, A58 boasts high-fidelity 24-bit/48 kHz audio, low (5 ms) latency, 20 Hz – 20 kHz frequency response, and up to 5 hours of battery life. However, Xvive has added a number of improvements and extra features that guitarists and bassists are sure to appreciate.

One improvement is A58’s Passive and Active modes, which allow it to operate flawlessly with all types of pickups—from vintage passive to modern, high-gain active. Another is that the A58 receiver is true diversity, and as such, is able to scan the available wireless channels and indicate which one is the strongest and most stable. This enables users to optimize their connection and enjoy an extra-reliable wireless experience. It takes a few seconds for the receiver to scan the channels, and once the top channel has been identified, the user simply sets the transmitter to the same channel, and the connection is made. When the user powers down the transmitter and receiver at the end of a set, and then powers up when it’s time to play again, the most recently used channel is recalled automatically on both units.

Some more improvements: the wireless range is now 100 feet, which should satisfy even the most nomadic of musicians! The USB connection is now the ubiquitous USB-C variety, which means you’re more likely to find a charging cable if you misplace the included double-USB-C to USB-A (which allows you to charge both the transmitter and the receiver at the same time, with any 5V/2A USB power supply). A full charge takes 2.5 hours, and gives you 5 hours of play time.

In a first for Xvive wireless products, the battery compartment is designed to be opened, which allows the onboard rechargeable lithium-ion battery to be easily serviced by any qualified repair technician. Lastly, a rugged, compact carry case is included to keep your A58 system safe during transport.

The A58 Guitar Wireless System—including a transmitter, receiver, dual charging cable and carry case—is available now from Xvive dealers and online retailers worldwide, and sells for $149 USD.
