Roland plans another international online product launch next week
The Roland Corporation is holding another online product launch week next week. Billed as ‘The Future. Redefined. September Festival 2017’ it promises new releases for percussion, piano, wind, organ, and guitar categories, plus artists and engineers celebrating the 30th anniversary of the D-50 Synthesiser, music trivia, and more.
The September Festival 2017 officially begins at 8am British Summer Time (7 UTC), with the unveiling of Roland’s newest digital wind instrument – billed as a product for beginning wind players ‘designed to both inspire and enhance musical creativity’. Successive new product introductions will follow through to 14th September, including a new guitar-related products from BOSS on 8th September, two new digital organs on 12th September, two new electronic percussion products on 13th September, and four new digital pianos on 14th September.
A special 30th-anniversary celebration of the D-50 Synthesiser, Roland’s first entirely digital synth, begins 9th September, with the launch of Roland’s dedicated D-50 anniversary web page. Exclusive interviews with the engineers who developed the D-50 and tributes from a roster of D-50 fans, including top artists and producers, are all promised.
In addition to multiple new product releases and the D-50 celebration, Roland will present the ‘One Minute Challenge,’ a fun online game featuring music and gear trivia.
