The ES-335 is a Gibson ES model that has been wowing guitar players all over the world for over six decades. From its introduction in 1958, the Gibson ES-335 set an unmatched standard, and it remains one of the world’s most beloved and versatile electric guitars today. Regardless of the styles of music you play, from rock to blues, from country to metal, the ES-335’s versatility enables you to do them all. This ES-335 is no exception and is now available in exciting custom colours that are sure to get attention. The Gibson ES-335 arrives in Watermelon, Spearmint, Ocean Blue, and an exclusive Goldtop finish.

The ES-335’s body is crafted with layered maple/poplar/maple for the top, back, and sides. It is coupled with a solid maple centerblock to create the amazing sustain, warmth, and resonant tone that players crave in a semi-hollowbody instrument. The solid maple center block also helps in controlling the unwanted feedback that often plagues full hollowbody guitars. The mahogany neck has a Rounded C profile that is extremely comfortable and easy to play. It’s not too large or too small but “just right” for many players. It is capped with a rosewood fretboard with a 12” radius that makes it easy to play chords and bend strings without fretting out, and that is adorned with acrylic dot inlays and equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets. A Graph Tech® nut and Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons help maintain tuning stability, while the nickel-plated ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece anchor the strings solidly at the other end to deliver the outstanding sustain that the ES-335 is famous for.

Gibson’s Calibrated T-Type humbucker pickups in the lead (bridge) and rhythm (neck) positions deliver a wide range of tones and further reinforce the ES-335’s exceptional versatility. They are hand-wired to individual volume and tone controls with 500k potentiometers and Orange Drop® tone capacitors, along with a three-way pickup selector switch that lets you run either pickup individually or combine them at will in any ratio you desire since each is controlled by a separate volume knob. The control knobs are stylish black Top Hats with silver reflectors. A Gibson hardshell case is also included to keep the ES-335 safe and secure when you’re on the way to your next gig.

The light and loaded ES-335, now with the beauty of AAA figured maple and custom colours.

The Gibson ES-335 Figured is the perfect blend of form and function and delivers classic ES-335 performance and versatility with the drop-dead gorgeous looks of highly figured AAA maple. The top and back of the body are bound, and the semi-hollow body is crafted with 3-ply AAA figured maple/poplar/maple, while the AAA figured maple outer layer makes these exceptionally beautiful guitars. A solid maple centerblock delivers exceptional feedback resistance and contributes increased sustain, a characteristic that the ES-335 is famous for. The body uses quarter-sawn Adirondack spruce bracing for tone and strength. Players will be impressed by the lightweight feel and expanded range of tonal capabilities that this guitar delivers. The mahogany neck has a comfortable Rounded C profile and is capped with a bound rosewood fretboard that is equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets and is adorned with acrylic small block inlays. The 12” fretboard radius makes it equally well suited for playing first-position “cowboy chords” and soaring lead lines with plenty of string bends further up the neck without fear of the strings fretting out.

The ES-335 Figured is equipped with high-end appointments like our hand-wired control assembly with Orange Drop tone capacitors. The pickups are a pair of Gibson’s new Calibrated T-Type humbucking pickups. Smooth-turning Vintage Deluxe style tuners, a lightweight aluminum ABR-1 bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece anchored with steel thumbwheels and studs, and a Graph Tech nut all contribute to the excellent tuning stability and impressive sustain. The AAA figured maple body is set off by beautiful Custom Color Series gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finishes, including Blood Moon Burst, Deep Ocean Burst, Honey Amber, and an exclusive Ocean Water Perimeter finish. A Gibson hardshell case is also included to help keep the ES-335 Figured safe and secure when in storage and when you’re transporting it to your next gig.
