NAMM 2018: More from EMD
EMD is having a busy Winter NAMM with product launches right across the board. Among guitars, in addition to the new solid bodied electrics we wrote about last week, there is also a new acoustic line under the Stagg brand – the SA35 series.
Buyers are offered the choice between between auditorium or slope shouldered dreadnought models which come as pure acoustics or with pickups. EMD says the SA35s have C-shaped neck profiles, ultra thin finishes for improved sound and die-cast machine heads. Prices will start at an impressive £136.25.
Also new is a fresh range of straps from Stagg.
For wannabe drummers, EMD has launched a three piece junior drum set with hardware- 8”/10”/12”, 12” x 10” bass drum (6 lugs) x 1 10” x 4.5” snare drum (4 lugs) with stand x 1 8” x 3.5” tom (4 lugs) with holder x 1 8” crash cymbal with holder x 1 all for a pretty impressive £164! There is also a larger kit for the more ambitious.
EMD says: ‘The Stagg Junior Kit is a fantastic way to excite children about the drums, while learning rhythm, timing and coordination. Available in 3 and 5-piece combinations, these colorful kits are great starting points for the aspiring beat-keeper! With all the features of a full-sized kit but on a smaller scale, the Junior Kit gets kids playing’.
Not ignoring the traditional instruments sector, EMD also showed its redesigned Premier Levante series which includes trumpet, trombone and a clarinet.
