Hamstead Soundworks and That Pedal Show to Launch New Signature Pedal: ‘Redwing – Stereo Analogue Modulator’

Hamstead Soundworks, renowned British manufacturer of high quality guitar amplifiers and effect pedals, is excited to announce a collaboration with Daniel Steinhardt and Mick Taylor from ‘That Pedal Show’ (TPS), having developed a highly versatile all-analogue modulation pedal called ‘Redwing’.

Bucket Brigade devices have been at the heart of many modulation effects since the first compact pedals and studio units were introduced almost half a century ago. ‘Redwing’ is capable of authentically harnessing those classic sounds, as well as offering a huge variety of new and inspiring ways to interact with these wonderful devices in the stereo field.

‘Redwing’ is 100% analogue and built without compromise to offer the most dynamic and glorious array of stereo modulation effects. From high-fidelity Flanging, lush Chorusing and smooth Vibrato, through to bonkers Ring-Modulation and so much more; all driven by Hamstead’s ‘Signature’ analogue waveform generation. ‘Redwing’ has two independent Bucket Brigade delay circuits, allowing for a true input and output stereo effect.

Daniel Steinhardt of TPS says:

“Regular viewers of TPS will know just how nuts I am about great analogue modulation tones. It was an encounter with two classic pedals over two decades ago the Electro- Harmonix Deluxe Electric Mistress and an original Boss CE-1 Chorus Ensemble that pretty much changed my whole approach to guitar tone. In fact, they were also a huge part of the inspiration to start my company, TheGigRig, and they continue to inform so much of what I love about playing and sound to this day.”

“Over the years I’ve always searched for devices that can not only match the magic of those originals tonally, but also surpass them in terms of sound and functionality within a modern rig. After a long development process thanks to Peter and Brian at Hamstead it has finally happened!”

“Testing them side by side, I actually prefer Redwing to my old Electric Mistress! And I have never preferred ANYTHING to that pedal before.”

Peter Hamstead says:

“From the initial concept to the finished product, Redwing has taken us on a remarkable journey. It has been a pleasure to work with Dan and Mick to create a pedal that we are all so proud of.”

‘Redwing’ Key Features:
