thru-body music man bass bridge

I am a happy owner of music man stingray EX (made in Japan) of 2001, according to the date under the neck. Music Man’s online support cannot provide any information on a guitar assembled in Japan. I have a thru-body bridge installed on my guitar. I would like to know if this is a good rework in the workshop or were there any guitars in 2001 that had such a bridge installed?
