The perfect PC setup – built around Studio Konnekt 48 – Suggestions?
Dear Forum,
as I am still experiencing drop-outs, stuttering, chopped sounds and so on with my Studio Konnekt 48.
Nobody was able to help me, I want to invest in a new PC-setup, that is actually built around the SK48.
I spent so much money on it and I love the sound of it – i just want it to run properly and like a professional unit is supposed to.
Therefore I am asking all SK48 users with flawless function to give me suggestions for PC components, that are working well with their SK48.
What motherboard, proccessor, RAM, graphic card, OS and, probably most important which Firewire-card are you using?
(TC doesnt suggest one… i tried 7 (!!!) different FW-Cards – normally this is enough trial & error, i would say)
The only restriction is, that i need two PCI-Slots for UAD-1-Cards and another FW-Slot for a liquid mix unit. If you need further infos, please feel free to ask me.
I am working with WIN7 and Cubase 5.5 (but I am updating Cubase probably).
