String Height Adjustment – Stingray Special

Hello – I just bought a used Stingray Special and the string height screws will not go lower. There is plenty of travel left in the thread but they stop just higher than suggested set up height. I can raise them, but they will not go lower. I don’t see any glue or loctite on the threads. Anyone have a suggestion?
