Sticking fretboard
I have noticed that the fretboard on my newly acquired Cutlass is “sticking” a little – I notice this especially when bending notes. It is secondhand, but in perfect condition, having been bought from a collector – it looks and feels brand new, and the fretboard does not appear to be dirty or greasy in any way at all – it all looks super clean in fact.
I think I am correct in saying that my Cutlass, JP6 and American Strat deluxe all have rosewood fretboards – please see pictures. The latter two’s fretboards seem as smooth as silk to me.
What would your diagnosis be? Is it just the Cutlass has a different feel and it is a case of getting used to it? Or is there oil that is worth trying? It is not a big deal, just trying to get the new guitar exactly the way I like it!
