Sentry noise gate problem
Hey everyone. So I’m having an issue with a sentry noise gate I just purchased. I tried going through the support portal but it keeps giving me errors when click submit. Also, not sure if this will be a dupe but I tried to post on here but my post hasn’t showed up. Not my lucky day?
Anyways, the problem is when I switch the gate select toggle, sometimes the pedal does what appears to be a hard shutdown / restart. The light on the pedal goes off along with a loud audible pop from my amp and then powers back on with a pop. Sounds like what I imaging would be if you pulled the power supply from the pedal while it is on. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on what could be wrong?
FYI, I have tried different cables, with and without pedal in the loop, and different power supplies plugged into different wall outlets and yet I still get the same problem. It seems to be very intermittent and I can’t always replicate the problem at will. I posted a YouTube video showing what happens titled “temp vid sentry gate problem”. In the vid you can see what happens. The pop is pretty loud.
