Overly Bright Pickups

Hello all. I have a JP15 and I find the illuminator pickups overly bright compared to my other guitars. Most of the time I’m running into my DAW using a plugin. I have a set of EMG 85s in my Ibanez, my only other active pickups, and they sound much closer to my other guitars. Of course I can dial them in but I’m surprised how dramatically different the setting are compared to the rest to get them sounding good. Thanks
