NYNGD: New Year's New Guitar Days! NYNGD #2019-12

.
Welcome to Day 12 of my annual New Year’s New Guitar Days (NYNGD)!

Thanks for the kind words and comments on NYNGD #2019-11!

AND THEN THERE WERE TWO! OK, we’re almost at the finish line. I know these are trickling in now, but I’ve been on the road these past two weeks. Just getting settled in and was able to get to the studio and photograph NYNGD #2019-12!

So… it seems Mister johnnyboogie attempted to predict this year’s Grand FinaleTM:

Wrong. Fail. There is one in this year’s run, but not the crown of the run! Close, but no cigar! 😀 The second-to-last guitar is indeed the Tiger Eye Majesty. This is the second to last guitar in this year’s run, and, you’re right johnnyboogie, this guitar could have just as easily earned the top spot as the Grand FinaleTM! But it didn’t…

This Tiger Eye Majesty is stunning. It was actually hard photographing this one — it’s definitely more stunning in person. These mark the first time that a translucent Majesty didn’t have a shield. The full flame top, flame neck back, and flame headstock are just awesome. Only thing that could make them better would be quilt, but we’ll get to that someday.

This guitar is just another great Majesty. Maybe a little brighter sounding because of all the maple, but it’s not dramatically different than other Majesties.

This is definitely a Top 2 guitar and could even be #1, right? Maybe johnnyboogie was onto something… Curious to see what the Grand FinaleTM will be? I’ll be back in the next few days with the final NYNGD: New Year’s New Guitar Day for 2019! Thanks for looking everyone!

(The back story in case you’re new to my NYNGD: For the past couple of years I’ve done a fun thing that most of you I think enjoyed, and I thought I would do it again this year. Every year, I am a slacker about keeping my Guitar Gallery up to date… So, as a fun holiday thing, let’s launch a guitar in the Guitar Gallery each day leading up to New Years Eve! In the past I’ve received PM’s about my collection and whether I play all of these guitars. 🙂 The same question came up during my NYNGD posts a few years ago and my answer was pretty detailed and well thought-out, so please check it out here!)

(Also, in case anybody gets any funny ideas — these guitars are not at my house. They are all in my very secure and alarmed studio facility. I usually only have two guitars floating around the house…)
