NYNGD: New Year's New Guitar Days! NYNGD #2018-9
Welcome to Day 9 of my annual New Year’s New Guitar Days (NYNGD)!
Thanks for the kind words and comments on yesterday’s NYNGD #2018-8! We’re at the half-way point now. The guitars are starting to get pretty cool, but we still have 12 more to go! What might be coming?!?
For NYNGD #2018-9… it was inevitable. You guys know how much I love the Majesty, and you knew I’d need to get a 7-string Majesty at some point. In fact, I was loving the Majesty so much that my JP13 7-string was feeling kinda bulky to me and I checked out the Majesty 7. WOW. Big difference for me. Some folks love the JP13/15 7-string, and that’s all good, but the Majesty 7 does it for me. I mean, it makes playing a wider neck easy.
Now, you’ve got a 7-string and you’re going to play some balls and chunk. Do you want red or pink, or do you want Polar Noir? Polar Noir = Black. Done. Metal.
I had a time photographing this guitar. As you know, I am not a real photographer and don’t really understand light. So when it comes to shooting an all black guitar… ugh. As such, only three photos today. Let’s face it, this guitar doesn’t have any nuance like woodgrain or a trans top, so I decided to phone this one in instead of pulling my hair out. Don’t hate. 😀
I’ll be back tomorrow-ish with another NYNGD: New Year’s New Guitar Day! Thanks for looking everyone!

(The back story in case you’re new to my NYNGD: For the past couple of years I’ve done a fun thing that most of you I think enjoyed, and I thought I would do it again this year. Every year, I am a slacker about keeping my Guitar Gallery up to date… So, as a fun holiday thing, let’s launch a guitar in the Guitar Gallery each day leading up to New Years Eve! In the past I’ve received PM’s about my collection and whether I play all of these guitars. 🙂 The same question came up during my NYNGD posts a few years ago and my answer was pretty detailed and well thought-out, so please check it out here!)
(Also, in case anybody gets any funny ideas — these guitars are not at my house. They are all in my very secure and alarmed studio facility. I usually only have two guitars floating around the house…)
