NBD (new to me): transition-era fretless stingray

I’ve been dying for a Stingray fretless lately, and then this unusual specimen shows up in GC’s used inventory–looks to be a late 80’s model, still with some pre-EB parts. It’s a bit of a risk but it was a steal. The GC guy says the defret job was very good and obviously professionally done. The body looks a little rough but the bass is 30 years old, after all. I’ll post again once I get it delivered, but in the meantime I’m pretty stoked.
