Luke III running on battery

If I install a brand new 9V Lithium battery in my Luke III, leave the guitar cord plugged in and set the guitar in my stand after playing it…approximately how long will the battery have enough current to properly power the boost circuit in the guitar? Is it determined by actual time playing the guitar or just having a plug in the jack?
