Help: Music Man MM90 stereo jack

Good afternoon, I have a problem with my MM Axis SS MM 90 2012 year, when I connect it through a mono jack there is a short circuit in a 9 volt battery and the battery is inflated. Should I try a stereo jack? Or how should I solder the jack? I am very grateful for the answers in advance. I live in a small town in the heart of Russia and can only ask advice from a bear )
