Flashback2 Tempo Blinking Light – Possible?
Long time TC user, first time poster. So, here’s the deal. For many years, I used the Flashback X4 and loved it, but in order to have many presets I traded that in for a Strymon Timeline for a couple of years. I decided to downsize my board, and I missed the flashback (I honestly prefer the sound of it compared to the Strymon) but it was very important for me to have tap tempo. The X4 was too large to go back to, but as luck would have it, the Flashback2 had just hit the market and had the ability to pair with an external tap switch, so that’s the route I went. I now use a fb2 with an mxr tap switch and it works great. My only gripe is this: I wish the light on the pedal would blink the current tempo of the repeats. The X4 had this functionality, as did the timeline, and so does ehx’s direct competitor the canyon delay pedal. My question is: is there any way for TC Electronic to make the pedal blink the tempo via some sort of firmware update? It’s a great sounding pedal, and this one feature, for me, would make it virtually perfect. What say you, TC?
