Ditto X4 Stop switch behaves differently in Sync and in Series
Hi all. I just got ditto X4. I like it so far, but I’m still getting used to it.
Anyway, I noticed that my ditto x4’s stop switch behaves differently in sync and series mode. In sync mode, pressing the stop switch once immediately stops the loop. But in series mode, pressing the stop switch once will play the loop to the end before stopping playback. In series mode, it seems that I need to double press the stop button twice in order to stop the loop immediately.
I’m not so sure if this behavior is normal, since this has not been mentioned at all anywhere in the manual to the best of my knowledge. Also, I feel like the stop switch stopped the loop immediately in either mode when I first got the pedal but I could be wrong. Can someone tell me if the stop switch supposed to behave this way?
I would much prefer that the stop pedal works in consistent manner (i.e. immediate loop stop.) in both modes so that it can minimize human error while performing.
Btw, I am using midi clock to sync with beat buddy. I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it, but just fyi.
thanks!
