Ditto Looper: Is it possible to achieve instant overdub without switch

I am interested in purchasing a TC Ditto Looper. From the videos I have seen, the player hits the record switch, produces a layer, hits the switch for playback and hits the switch again to record a new layer. This is repeated for every new overdub. I am looking for a pedal more like the Boss RC-30, where you don’t have to hit the switch every time you want to record a new layer. The RC- 30 remembers the length of the loop and will allow you to record endless overdubs in playback mode. However, I would prefer a TC product because I think the sound is much better quality. So does the ditto looper:
A) Allow for instant overdubs without pressing the record/playback switch for each new layer
B) If not, is there a newer TC model of looper that has this function?
