DEAD Flashback 4X
I am trying once again to get this pedal working. I bought a Flashback 4x in 2013. Between june of this year and the fall of 2015 I may have used it a dozen times. It intermittently would stop working throughout this time. I would unplug it and and restart and it would work. It did it one more time and never powered up again. I know I know-you’ll ask “are you using the correct power souce/” -yes and I’ve tried a PP2 power supply with the same effect-nothing. I can’t seem to get parts to repair it. MUSIC TRIBE seems to be the parent company of TC Electronics and they seem to not care, but do it with a digital smile sort of speak. The only solution they’ve offered is for me to send it to a service center and spend nearly what I paid for it to repair it. They repair it by replacing these parts. The main board is not something you repair. Everything is engineered to be replaced -not repaired but they won’t sell the parts in order to get this working again. Even Apple would sell parts so you could repair your own computer without taking it in if you were bright enough to figure out what the problem was but this product, as it stands, is engineered to be thrown away. I don’t much like throwing 250$ away. Im ill and disabled and money is tight and i need to get value out of everything i purchase. This company has been the most difficult to deal with. Ive seen many post with this same issue or near the same issue so there seems to be some flaw inherent to the design. Maybe I didn’t get the right person but I thought I would try ONE MORE TIME.
