Alter Ego – Died after a few hours
Bought a brand new Alter Ego delay today. Using batteries for now and it died after only a few hours. Thinking this is an obvious dead battery situation I replaced it with a fresh one. And hour later the same thing happened. No light…dead. I do get an occasional light after unplugging and replugging the battery, but it doesn’t last.
I’m powering quite a few other pedals on batteries and they last for months. After 30 plus years of playing and buying pedals this is the first time I’ve actually had a pedal die the day I bought it. What gives? I’ve heard a few scary stories about TC and I was hesitant to buy this pedal. Hopefully I’m wrong.
