Albert Lee MM90 – want to buy – electic bug?? (from Germany)

want to buy a MM Albert Lee MM90,(tremolo, no piezo)

tested it in the shop

sound in the 2. position (neck + middle) like out of phase (quiter, thin, like telephone)

searching the web in dosnt found infos that confirm this (wiring-diagrams, demo-videos)

is it normal, a bug

the guy in the shop means, the wiring couldnt be changed, because the is only 1 wire plus the ground to any PU (not so in the wiring-diagram)

could an empty battery be the reason?

any ideas?
