Watch Marcus King discuss his new signature with Gibson’s Mark Agnesi
Marcus King sat down with Gibson’s Mark Agnesi backstage at Crossroads festival to discuss King’s continued rise to guitar stardom, and his new signature model, the Marcus King ES-345. Watch the video above.
King talked Agnesi through the history that lead up to the prototype – the guitar is based on King’s 1962 ES-345, originally his grandfather’s guitar. The signature recreates the hardware and design of the original, including the “Custom Made” plaque behind the bridge and the sideways vibrola found on the original.
King also posted a photo of the prototype on Instagram, next the the original ‘62 guitar:

More details on the production version of the signature are yet to come, but given the official introduction on Gibson’s YouTube channel, the guitar could be available soon.
