Watch Jimmy Page narrate the history of the Fender Mirror Telecaster
Back at NAMM 2019, Fender announced a reissue of Jimmy Page’s famed Mirror Telecaster from 1959. And now, to mark the axe’s UK release, the guitar brand has teamed up with Nexus Studios on an animated film depicting its storied history.
Titled The Mystical Journey Of Jimmy Page’s ’59 Telecaster, the short clip charts the Telecaster’s journey from workshop to arena stage, with Page himself narrating. The legendary guitarist recounts his inspiration for attaching mirrors to the axe and discussed its critical role in Led Zeppelin’s debut album.
The production-line model of Fender’s Jimmy Page Mirror TelecasterSupplementing Page’s anecdotes are psychedelic animations, which “visually convey the atmosphere and energy” of how Page took the Tele’s form and sound to new heights, according to Fender.
Check out the full animation above.
The prices for Jimmy Page’s 2019 Fender Telecaster set are as follows:
Limited-edition Dragon and Mirror: Available now at £23,259 each
