Walrus Audio releases short film to celebrate winning Guitar.com’s Gear Of The Year 2020 Award

Walrus Audio has released a short film showcasing the abilities of its Mako D1 Delay – all while celebrating winning Guitar.com’s Best Guitar Pedal of 2020 award.
Alongside this, the brand has announced it will give away two Mako D1 pedals in celebration of the win – all you have to do is head over to the film’s page on YouTube, comment on the video and subscribe to Walrus Audio’s channel to be in with a chance of winning.
If the award itself isn’t motivation enough to enter the competition, here’s some more about the Mako D1: introduced at NAMM 2020, the pedal showed off a new side of the brand. Walrus’ common graphics were gone, replaced by a minimalist, technical aesthetic laid over a new dual-footswitch enclosure. Its myriad controls allow for an incredibly in-depth control of your repeats, from their texture, time division and how reverberated they are to their attack and much more. It all adds up to create a brilliantly capable pedal which we couldn’t help giving an Editor’s Choice award, so it’s no surprise it nabbed the top spot on our Gear Of The Year list.
Writing on Instagram, Walrus Audio said of the win and competition: “We’re so honoured and thankful to find out that D1 High-Fidelity Delay was given the 2020 Gear of the Year Award by Guitar.com! So excited in fact that we wrote a new song, and filmed it to celebrate and to kick off a giveaway!”
Watch Walrus Audio’s newly released film below and as previously mentioned, head over to the video, comment and subscribe to be in with a chance to win the pedal. Winners will be announced on 21 December. Good luck!
