Tom DeLonge unsurprisingly thinks that the strange drone sightings in New Jersey are UFO-related
Blink-182 guitarist and UFO enthusiast Tom DeLonge has offered his theories on the mysterious “drone” sightings in New Jersey.
Over the past few weeks, New Jersey residents have been scratching their heads and looking skyward as reports of unusual drone activity have flooded in. Described as larger than your average hobbyist drone — some even the size of SUVs — the drones have been spotted near sensitive sites like military bases and high-profile properties. This has led to a flurry of theories ranging from benign explanations to more alarming speculations about foreign surveillance or even extraterrestrial activity.

In a new Instagram post, DeLonge shares his thoughts on the strange sightings, noting how the “drones that are being discussed can hover for six hours, and then disappear once they are spotted.”
“This is why it’s been hard to get facts from any US Agency. Some of them can even move into the ocean, and then back up to the air. Which is called ‘transmedium travel.’ A very hard thing to do.”
DeLonge, who made his directorial debut with the UFO conspiracy film Monsters of California last year, also compares the recent sightings to mass UFO reports from the 60s, writing: “It seems like it’s a repeat of exactly what happened in the ‘60s.”
“There is a good chance that these things could potentially be ‘mimicking’ other aircraft, and this even happened more recently in situations at Skinwalker Ranch years ago when it was being studied by the US Gov under BAAS and AATIP.”
He continues: “It’s all something to consider, and although we don’t have all the facts yet, we do know that UFOs play with ‘mimicry’ and that has been known for quite some time. Why? To get us to notice them without a major freak out? Who knows… but well, we are noticing nonetheless.”
