They’re some of the best utility pedals you can get – and you can save over $40 on both this Cyber Weekend
Speak to anyone who really cares about sound, and they’ll tell you that EQ and Compression are the two effects that most difference. And this Cyber Weekend, two of the highest-quality pedal versions of those effects are available at a very attractive price.

The Empress ParaEQ MkII is an incredibly fully-featured EQm pedal, with three discrete bands and up to 15dB of boost/cut on each. There are also three Q values selectable per band for extra-fine curve tuning, and a separate footswitch for a boost – meaning that you can use it as either a subtle, post-everything tone-shaper or to push an amp hard in exactly the places it needs to be pushed.
Meanwhile, the Compressor MkII features a similar level of almost studio-like tool. There’s a TRS sidechain send/return and a high-pass filter to keep things synced to the bass aspect of the signal, three ratio modes for the main compression as well as wet/dry mix, tone, attack, release and in and out gain controls. Compared to, say, a two-knob MXR Dynacomp, it might as well be capable of spaceflight!
