“The King of Clean. Now in your DAW”: Roland launches plugin version of its classic JC-120 Jazz Chorus amplifier
NAMM 2025: Roland has launched a new plugin version of its classic JC-120 Jazz Chorus guitar amplifier.
Available via the Roland Cloud Ultimate Early Access programme as a VST3, AU and AAX software plugin – it will later become available as a standalone item for individual purchase – the JC-120 Jazz Chorus plugin is “carefully crafted through deep analysis of the original circuitry”.

Roland promises the “ultra-clean tone and evocative chorus of the original” amp, but with a selection of new features, including a choice of stereo modes, tempo sync, and speaker simulation with multiple mic types, positions and ambience control.
First introduced in 1975, the Roland JC-120 is a solid-state guitar amp combo known for its pristine clean tone and built-in chorus effect, and has become highly popular among musicians spanning a range of genres, from jazz and pop to rock and metal.
