The Chats delay UK and Europe tour to later in October due to coronavirus
Punk band The Chats have rescheduled their EU and UK tour, and in the process confirmed their removal from the lineup of Australian festival Splendour In the Grass.
The band were due to play the festival in July, but like many others it has been delayed due to coronavirus. However, the newly announced UK dates for The Chats – 23 to 25 October – clash with the rearranged festival.
The Chats’ upcoming UK/Europe tour, in support of their latest LP High Risk Behaviour, was due to begin in Amsterdam on 7 October. It will now begin in Bristol, UK on 18 October. All dates have been postponed except for Paris, which has instead been cancelled.
Writing on Instagram about the delay, the band said: “We can’t wait to get over there, we love your beer, we love your venues and we love the wild times,” the band said in an Instagram post on April 2. “Stay safe, stay home (for now) and let’s get loose in October.”

To the people of the United Kingdom and Europe Due to the ongoing threat of COVID-19 and the postponements of tours and festivals alike we have had to slightly reschedule some of our shows to your region. We have tried our hardest to fulfil all originally announced shows but have had some venue changes and unfortunately have had to cancel the Paris show on this run. All tickets previously purchased still valid for rescheduled shows and full refunds available to all those who purchased tickets for Paris. It’s the second time the band has had to delay, with their April and May US tour also being pushed back to the Autumn.
