Take a look at the truly eye-catching highlights of Fender’s annual Custom Shop collections

NAMM 2025: Fender Custom Shop has launched two new instrument lineups described as its “most captivating” annual launches yet: the Prestige and Cocktail Collections.
Fender says these new offerings “combine the timeless appeal of beloved Fender models with imaginative new concepts”. The Prestige Collection features “bespoke masterpieces”, that echo the individuality and technical skills of their builders, while the Cocktail Collection takes inspiration from the world of mixology.

The Prestige range consists of 11 models, spanning classic Fender shapes with aesthetics that echo the Masterbuilders’ creativity, skill and craft. Each model is “extremely rare”, and designed to be a treasured and collectible instrument. Highlights include:
Prestige Sub-Sonic Jazzmaster ($12,875.00 USD/£12,199 GBP)
Crafted by Andy Hicks, this Prestige Sub-Sonic Jazzmaster, Journeyman Relic is down tuned and fitted with a set of mini humbuckers from Sonic Pickups. This 27” scale length baritone offset is described as “thunderous and powerful”, and has a thin Black Burst lacquer finished Black Limba body, a quarter-sawn roasted maple large “C” Sub-Sonic neck with a 9.5” radius fingerboard, period black inlays, and a black head cap with a chrome Fender decal.

Prestige Performer ($11,350.00 USD/£10,749 GBP)
Levi Perry revives John Pages’ (founding Masterbuilder who died in 1999) 1985 Performer, which Fender says was a “fun and challenging build”. Recreating the exact dimensions of the original, down to its unconventional pickup covers, it now hosts a contoured neck heel, 9.5” to 12” compound fingerboard radius, and Custom Classic Hardtail Strat bridge to bring this model into the future.

Prestige Candy Burst Stratocaster ($10,950.00 USD/£10,349 GBP) 
Senior Masterbuilder Dale Wilson drew aimed to capture the essence of creativity through colour and form for this one. It has a 4A flame maple neck and Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, and is crafted for players who seek both performance and striking visual aesthetics from their instrument.

Moving on to the Cocktail Collection, this rang spans nine models, and was created by both the Custom Shop’s Masterbuilders and Apprentices. In the past, inspiration has been drawn from specific colours, unique materials and finishes. Highlights for this range are:
Cocktail Collection Lemon Drop Martini Strat ($9,625.00 USD/ £9,099 GBP)
Drawing on the swirling yellow hues of a classic lemon drop martini, this model was made by Custom Shop Senior Masterbuilder Dennis Galuszka. It has a hydro-dip white, silver and transparent yellow finish, a select alder body, 1-piece ’54 Soft “V” shaped neck, and Custom Shop Josefina Campos Hand-Wound Fat ‘60s Strat pickups.

Cocktail Collection Manhattan Strat ($10,675.00 USD/£10,099 GBP)
This guitar channels the vibe of a rustic bar. Built by Jason Smith, it has a Bourbon Metallic body colour, a pickguard covered in prism cherry stickers, and an enamel Manhattan martini emblem affixed to the ball of the Stratocaster headstock. Fender says it is built for a player looking for a worn, comfortable-feeling guitar.

Cocktail Collection Cantarito Tele ($11,650.00 USD/£10,049 GBP)
Built by apprentice George Ruiz, this Tele draws inspiration from Jalisco’s culture and Talavera pottery. It features a hand-painted pickguard by Mexican artist Lucero, a “Cantarito Creme” finish, and a mocha-tinted 3A flame Bosnian maple neck. The 27” baritone scale delivers deep tones reminiscent of traditional Mexican instruments like the guitarrón. It has Curtis Novak JM-WR pickups, gold-plated vintage-style hardware, and tortoise tuning pegs. It even has a unique cocktail recipe engraved on the neck plate, and also comes with a pair of Talavera-style Cantarito mugs that match the guitar.
