Signed guitars from Metallica, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney and more to be auctioned off for LA Wildfire relief
Dozens of signed guitars from artists including Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen and more have been put up for sale to support Los Angeles’ wildfire relief efforts.
Set to take place on Sunday, 2 February, before the 2025 Grammy Awards, the MusiCares Charity Relief Auction will feature over 60 exclusive, one-of-a-kind items from some of the biggest names in music.

Highlights of the sale include a Fender American Vintage II 1951 Telecaster signed by Bruce Springsteen, a Gibson Les Paul standard signed by Dave Grohl, a signed, hardcover edition of McCartney’s The Lyrics book, as well as a Martin acoustic signed by Macca, Jon Bon Jovi, Brandi Carlile, Eagles and Sheryl Crow and more at last year’s Keep the Party Going: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett event.

Fans can also bid on a Les Paul axe featuring the signatures of Ozzy Osbourne, Jack Black, Wolfgang Van Halen, Billy Idol, Zakk Wylde and more.
The event aims to raise funds to “help music professionals recover from crises, including the unprecedented challenges posed by the recent wildfires in Greater Los Angeles,” said Julien’s Auctions in a statement.
Since the Los Angeles fires broke out on 7 January, musicians, brands, and various industry figures have banded together to support those affected by the disaster. At the time of writing, the fires have claimed 25 lives and destroyed numerous homes and properties, including that of Iron Maiden guitarist Adrian Smith in Malibu.
Earlier this week, Guitar Center announced a new initiative to aid LA-based musicians impacted by the wildfires in replacing their gear. Fender is also committing $100,000 to help musicians replace instruments lost to the disaster.
Despite the ongoing situation, the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) has announced that its annual show in Anaheim, California, will proceed as planned, with the team keeping a close eye on local developments.
