PRS wants to support local guitar heroes with its Pulse Artist Program

PRS Guitars – one of our partner brands for Guitar.com Live – has announced the Pulse Artist Program, which will recognise and support up-and-coming guitarists “making waves in their local music scene”.
The program will grant Pulse Artists access to exclusive discounts on guitars, amplifiers and accessories through their local PRS dealer. Along with this, PRS will also feature Pulse Artists on a dedicated page on their website, and spotlight their music, news and shows through social platforms.
Guitarists interested in trying out for a spot on the Pulse Artists roster can sign up between 1 September to 31 October, but will have to do so by visiting an authorised PRS dealer. Each application for an annual membership will be reviewed by the brand’s artist relations team, and successful applicants will be introduced as the 2021 PRS Pulse Artists on December 15, 2020.
Kicking off the program, PRS announced its first group of Pulse Artists in a post on Instagram yesterday (3 September). Take a look below.

PRS hopes that the platform will help local artists reach more potential fans. “As the world of music progresses past big-budget label deals and relies more on discovery, we wanted to develop a program that supports and showcases influential regional players,” said Bev Fowler, Director of Artist Relations at PRS.
“We are excited to be able to help amplify these musicians and their art and help to connect more people through music.”
