Oasis confirm 2025 reunion tour: “The stars have aligned”

The wait is finally over: Oasis have officially announced their reunion, and will be embarking on a world tour in 2025.
The newly copacetic Gallagher brothers have confirmed shows for the UK and Ireland, but a press release reveals that “plans are underway for OASIS LIVE 25 to go to other continents outside of Europe later next year”.

Shows confirmed so far include two dates at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, four at Heaton Park in their hometown of Manchester, four dates at London’s Wembley Stadium, two at Edinburgh’s Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium, and two at Dublin’s Croke Park. See dates below:

4, 5 July – Principality Stadium, Cardiff
11, 12, 19, 20 July – Heaton Park, Manchester
25, 26 July and 2, 3 August – Wembley Stadium, London
8, 9 August – Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh
16, 17 August – Croke Park, Dublin

Noel and Liam Gallagher, pictured in a new press shot by Simon Emmett, offer a simple comment on the reunion:
“The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”
Tickets for the shows will go on sale at 9AM on Saturday, 31 August 2024, and will be available from Ticketmaster, GIGSANDTOURS and See Tickets. Dublin tickets will be available at 8AM the same day from www.ticketmaster.ie. Given the anticipation behind the long-awaited Oasis reunion, we can only imagine the frenzy that will take place when tickets go live. We’d recommend you being up bright and early if you’re after some…
Few musical feuds have been quite so epic as that between Noel and Liam Gallagher. Since Oasis’s very publicised split in 2009, the two have traded jabs at one another for years, leading many to suspect this day would never come. The two have remained musically active since then – with Liam taking on solo shows and Noel forming the High Flying Birds in 2010 – but an actual Oasis reunion always felt like a pipe dream.
So when the band began teasing something big yesterday, the internet was sent into overdrive. A simple social media post showing today’s date (27 August) in the typography of Oasis’s logo was posted on both Liam and Noel’s socials, and that of the band, too. The same graphic was displayed at Liam’s headline set at Reading on Sunday (25 August), during which he dedicated Half the World Away to his brother.
Oasis are set to release the expanded reissue of their landmark 1994 debut album Definitely Maybe on 30 August, after it celebrates its 30th anniversary the day before. This year, Liam Gallagher has also been on tour celebrating the album’s 30th anniversary.
