Mustang Micro Plus: Fender’s ultra-portable guitar amplifier finally gets an upgrade

Fender has announced the Mustang Micro Plus, the latest pocket-sized addition to its popular Mustang amplifier series.
As the successor to the Mustang Micro headphone amp, which was released in 2021, the Mustang Micro Plus boasts a slew of upgrades ranging from extra effects and preset slots to a new integrated display.

Said to feature “everything you know and love from the original but better”, the Mustang Micro Plus is loaded with 25 amp and 25 effects models, more than double of its predecessor. The amp also comes with 100 fully editable preset slots with Fender Tone App support, giving you plenty of room to customise your sounds.
With an integrated chromatic tuner and an all-new OLED display, checking your pitch mid-song and navigating presets is now a breeze. And with built-in Bluetooth audio streaming capabilities, you can easily play along to your favourite songs or videos in real-time.

As for battery life, the Mustang Micro Plus boasts over four hours of continuous play time at full charge. Just plug Micro Plus directly into your guitar jack, connect a pair of earbuds or headphones, choose from a selection of amazing factory presets, and get started.
At $129.99, the Mustang Micro Plus is slightly more expensive than its predecessor, but those extra features make it well worth the price in our opinion. Each purchase also come with free 6 months of Studio One+ included in the box.
“This new addition represents a significant leap forward in both technology and user experience, offering unparalleled versatility and tone in an incredibly portable package,” said Justin Norvell, EVP Product at Fender. “The Mustang Micro Plus is designed to inspire musicians at every level, providing a powerful, intuitive, and accessible way to create and explore new sounds.”

Meanwhile, Fender recently teamed up with Italian fashion giant Bvlgari on a limited-edition Stratocaster, in celebration of the instrument’s 70th anniversary. The guitar boasts a vintage-modern aesthetic inspired by the Aerodyne and Elemental ranges as well as a bunch of “golden era” features including a Wide-Fade Chocolate 2-Color Sunburst lacquer finish and a quartersawn maple neck.
