Manson Guitar Works gets festive with the MA EVO Red Santa electric

To celebrate the holidays, Manson Guitar Works has unwrapped a Red Santa edition of its MA EVO electric, sporting a jolly Metallic Holosparkle Red finish and an array of – very Matt Bellamy-esque – customisation options.
Diving first into the most basic edition of the instrument, the MA EVO Red Santa features a single-cutaway alder body, a maple neck with a soft V neck profile and a 22-fret ebony fingerboard.
It comes loaded with a duo of in-house designed Psychopaf PF-1 pickups that route to push-pull controls – a volume and tone knob – for coil-tapping action. Plus, there’s also a killswitch included in the top half of the body.

Where things get saucy is with the aforementioned customisation options. Apart from deciding between a fixed bridge or a Floyd Rose floating tremolo, you also have options to include a MIDI-controller; an EVO Sustainiac, or even a ZVex Fuzz Factory right into the body. And yes, combinations of these options are available too.

The bass was built by Manson for Bellamy to use with The Jaded Hearts Club, the supergroup which also features vocalists Miles Kane and Nic Cester, guitarists Graham Coxon and Jamie Davis and drummer Sean Payne.
The Manson Guitars MA Evo Red Santa starts at £1,679 and goes up to £2,589.
