Dacus said of the song: “Brando refers to a very dramatic friend I had in high school whose whole personality was the media he consumed. He showed me a lot of amazing movies and music, but I think he was more interested in using me as a scrapbook of his own tastes than actually getting to know me. He claimed to know me better than anyone else but I started to feel like all he wanted from me was to be a scene partner in the movie of his life.”
Brando has arrived alongside an official lyric video, which you can see below. Its release follows the singles VBS, Hot & Heavy and Thumbs. The inclusion of Thumbs notably marks the first studio version of the song, which Dacus regularly performed, but never publicly released. Considered a ‘white whale’ for Dacus fans, the track was also never filmed unofficially by request of the singer-songwriter.
The lyric video features an animated score for the track, moving in sync with the music. The guitar and bass parts also feature synced tabs, so if you want to get on learning the song straight away, you can.

Home Video will arrive on 25 June, and can be preordered here. Its full tracklist is below.
