Listen to Prince’s acoustic demo recording of ‘I Feel for You’
The Prince estate, alongside Warner Records, has released an acoustic demo version of I Feel For You. Listen to the track above. It features the song in a stripped back version, with Prince accompanying himself on acoustic guitar.
The track has been released to mark the 40th album of Prince’s second self-titled album, on which it originally appeared. The demo is available on streaming services, and will also be released as a 7” single. Order or listen here.
The song was notably covered by Chaka Khan on her 1984 album of the same name, and earned both Prince and Chaka Khan a Grammy award.
