Kiss to play unmasked reunion gig for fanclub’s 50th anniversary – a year after retiring… again
Despite Paul Stanley’s recent claim that “there’s no going back to it,” it seems Kiss aren’t quite ready to hang up their instruments just yet. Just over a year after wrapping their second farewell tour, the legendary band are back for yet another reunion show.
In an email to fans, Kiss revealed that they will perform an “unmasked” concert this November to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their fan club, the Kiss Army.
The special event, titled Kiss Army Storms Vegas, will take place at the Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas from 14-16 November. It will also feature a performance by former Kiss guitarist Bruce Kulick, along with “other special guests, activities, exclusive experiences, and more”.

This upcoming show marks Kiss’s first performance as a group since wrapping up their End Of The Road farewell tour in December 2023. During their final concert, the band announced a “new era” as a virtual act, similar to ABBA’s Voyage show. Kiss went on to sell their catalogue to the same company behind the ABBA concerts in April, with plans to launch their virtual era in 2027.
While it may seem like Kiss are reversing course on their retirement plans, bassist Gene Simmons had previously clarified to Rolling Stone that their 2 December performance at Madison Square Garden would be the “the final Kiss-in-makeup appearance.”
Kulick, who was left out of both the 2000-2001 and 2019-2023 farewell tours, spoke to Guitar World last year about his feelings on not being included in the final shows.
“I’ve made peace with not being included in Kiss’s End of the Road,” Kulick said. “I’ve always missed being in Kiss, but if being in Kiss meant being the Spaceman like Tommy [Thayer, Kiss’s current guitarist], I wouldn’t want to do it. And if being a part of the final shows meant I had to ask to be there, I’d rather stay home. I guess that’s why Ace [Frehley] respects me and has always been kind to me.”
In related news, Gene Simmons has cancelled 17 dates of his upcoming solo tour, which notably offered fans the chance to be his roadie for a day for the price of $12,485. While no official reason was given for the cancellations, Simmons’ camp assured fans that he is “ok” and that there are no health concerns with the bassist.
It’s official. Gene Simmons postpones all April 2025 show dates until 2026. The remaining May show dates are still happening.
