Is an Oasis reunion actually happening, at last?

We’ve been reporting on rumours and trying to wish into existence an Oasis reunion for years now, and it seems that moment might actually, at last, be on the horizon.
In a rare display of unity from Noel and Liam Gallagher, both brothers have taken to social media to share a teaser which strongly hints at a big Oasis announcement coming imminently.

The teaser simply consists of the date “27.08.24” (tomorrow, Tuesday 27 August), in the typographical style of the Oasis logo. It then flickers to read “8am”. So something is happening at 8am tomorrow morning. The post has not only been shared by Noel and Liam, but also on Oasis’s social profiles, too.

Elsewhere, Liam Gallagher, during his headline set at Reading Festival at the weekend, displayed the same teaser, understandably sending the crowd into a frenzy. During the same set, he played Oasis’s Half the World Away to his brother Noel.
After rumours began swirling quickly after the teaser posts were shared, Liam took to X to write: “I never did like that word FORMER”.

Per The Guardian, reports suggest Oasis are to play 10 nights at Wembley Stadium and 10 at Heaton Park in their hometown of Manchester. If confirmed, the band would break the record set by Taylor Swift, when she brought her Eras tour to Wembley Stadium for eight nights this year.
