Harmony launches a Bigsby version of the Silhouette
Harmony Guitars has launched a new version of its gold-foil loaded offset, the Silhouette. The new instrument replaces the vintage-style hardtail bridge with a Bigsby B5 vibrato.

The Silhouette with Bigsby comes with many of the same specifications as the hardtail Silhouette. There’s an alder body with a bolt-on maple neck, topped with a 12-inch radius ebony fingerboard and 22 medium-jumbo frets.
The bridge is also the same, but with cutouts to allow for the strings to reach the vibrato tailpiece.
The guitar’s scale length is 25 inches, between a standard Gibson length of 24.75 inches and a Fender scale of 25.5 inches. The electronics are a pair of custom gold foil mini-humbuckers, with master volume and tone controls and a three-way toggle.
Harmony’s Gerald Hooper said in a statement that “the Silhouette has seen incredible reception and demand from around the world and we’ve received so many requests to add a vibrato option to the model.
“The Bigsby B5 is the perfect choice, a vibrato system iconic for its smooth action and tasteful pitch-bending capabilities, it complements the Silhouette perfectly and brings the playing experience to a whole new level.”
You can hear Patrick Breen put the guitar through its paces in the demo video below.
The Silhouette with Bigsby comes finished in a choice of Burgundy, Slate, Space Black, all nitrocellulose. The model will begin shipping in August at a US MAP of $1,549. Find out more at harmony.co.
