Harley Benton updates its ever-expanding lineup with new semi-hollow electric guitar and bass

Harley Benton has released two new semi-hollow models: the HB-50 bass and HB-35 Plus six-string electric guitar.
Arriving in Cherry Red and Vintage Orange colourways, the HB-50 pairs a semi-hollow design with an arched top, with a Canadian maple body and neck, 22-fret Amaranth fingerboard and a cream binding on the body and neck for a touch of visual class.

Elsewhere, the bass boasts two Artec MMC4 Vintage Alnico 5 humbucker pickups for smooth, warm tones that emulate vintage records, and a control layout comprising a volume knob, a tone knob, and a three-way switch. The DLX chrome hardware keeps the tuning stable, too.

As for the HB-35 Plus, it has a vintage-style tremolo system and a semi-hollow maple body with an arched top and an Okoume sustain centre block to reduce feedback. The nato set-neck and laurel fingerboard give it more tonal richness, while the vintage-inspired Roswell LAF-N and LAF-B Alnico 5 humbucker pickups offer a wide tonal palette.
The TS01 B-style tremolo gives you a classic ‘shimmer’ sound, while the DLX TOM01 Tune-O-Matic bridge makes sure of tuning stability, while also sporting an eye-catching design. Other visual appointments include a Satin Olive Drab finish and cream multi-ply body binding.

Price-wise, the HB-35 Plus comes in at £254, while the HB-50 will set you back £203. For more information you can head to Harley Benton.
In July, meanwhile, Harley Benton shared its new SC Custom III guitar, the latest edition to its SC line. It’s available in a whole range of finishes and variations, and, per the company, was “crafted to deliver exceptional performance” and “designed for players who demand a rock solid instrument that is versatile, whether it’s for laying down smooth grooves or unleashing fiery riffs.”
